Christians and Energy Healing
As individuals delve into alternative healing methods such as chiropractic, homeopathy, acupuncture, and Christian energy healing, questions often arise regarding their alignment with Christian beliefs.I want to share my perspective on how energy healing can indeed be compatible with Christian faith. It’s essential to trust the guidance of God’s Spirit within you, seeking the voice of our Good Shepherd as you navigate these considerations.
Reflecting on the biblical perspective, Jesus healed all who sought healing, emphasizing the divine desire for wellness. Explore teachings on healing by Protestant author like Kenneth Hagan or Andrew Wommack and Catholic writings of Fulton Sheen and Padre Pio for a deeper understanding. Believing in your right to be healthy and whole can profoundly impact your body’s ability to heal. The term “energy” may not explicitly appear in the Bible, but the original Aramaic language used it to describe the Holy Spirit and other truths in the New Testament.
It’s important to recognize that the concept of energy, like electricity, predates New Age or Eastern religions. Energy is a fundamental element established by God since the creation of the universe. Rather than dismissing these terms, Christians can embrace the role of discovering and understanding fundamental truths.
Concerns about distinguishing between divine and deceptive energy often arise. Similar to electricity, energy itself is neutral—it can be used for good or ill. Satan may attempt to pervert God’s creations, leading people astray through deceptive practices. However, observing the fruit of energy healing—whether it brings freedom, healing, and a closer connection to Christ—can help discern its alignment with Christian principles.
Quantum Physics sheds light on the mechanisms behind energy healing, aligning with biblical narratives. The dual nature of electrons, non-locality theories, and connected particles all find parallels in Christian practices, such as distant healing through faith. Exploring Quantum Physics principles can deepen our understanding, confident that they harmonize with the truths already established in the Bible. As Christians, let us courageously explore these principles, recognizing that the mysteries of the unseen world are already acknowledged in our faith.
