In my case, these beliefs are deeply rooted in the teachings of Christianity. It’s important to understand that while Reiki is not a religion, its principles harmonize seamlessly with various spiritual perspectives, including Christian faith. I see Reiki energy as a manifestation of God’s unconditional love. During sessions, my Christian clients have shared profound experiences of the Holy Spirit, revealing God’s presence and love. When I practice Reiki, I pray for the person receiving it. I don’t presume to tell God what someone needs, as He sees them more completely. Regardless of your beliefs, rest assured that I am praying for your highest good, and Reiki is a gentle and beneficial practice. Is Reiki compatible with Christianity? Ultimately, the Holy Spirit is the reliable authority on this matter. It took me time and prayer to find peace with Reiki, allowing scripture and the Lord to guide me. If you genuinely seek guidance, the Lord can reveal the truth to your mind and heart. Critics often fall into three categories, including those who question the existence of energy systems. It’s beneficial to explore recent science and understand the intersection of ancient spirituality with modern physics. Reiki, as a healing practice, aligns with the energy of life itself that comes from God. Addressing concerns about channeling, I don’t channel spirit guides; my guide is the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. While Reiki practitioners may ask for spiritual guidance, my focus is on God’s guidance. Reiki symbols are neutral and are words written in Japanese and are to used as a focal point.  Much like any other symbol, they can carry both positive and negative associations.  I do not use Reiki symbols and never have because I never felt the need to do anything other than ask God/Jesus for their assistance. I believe in using both prayer and Reiki, just as one might use prayer alongside medical care. Reiki is not a substitute for medical attention but can complement it. It’s essential to recognize that the glory belongs to God, not the practitioner. In my personal experience, Reiki has enhanced my prayer life by fostering trust in God’s wisdom and control. It has taught me to let go and let God, deepening my ability to rely on His guidance for the well-being of others.
